We are looking for a Embedded Software Developer whose primary responsibility will be to write software for test fixtures used to test various car ECUs. Controllers include both microcontrollers and PLCs. You will be working with a team of engineers, some of which will be creating the hardware platform. They will collaborate with you in determining the architecture and constraints of the project. Ideal candidates must have excellent collaborative problem-solving skills, the willingness to overcome hardware constraints, and the internal drive to create quality products. You will apply your knowledge and skills to work on software/hardware UI, back-end systems architecture, and more. You are making decisions that will influence future design for years to come.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and test embedded software for automotive electronic module testers.
  • Collaborate with electronics engineers to ensure seamless integration between hardware and software components.
  • Perform code reviews and ensure software quality standards.
  • Stay updated with the latest software trends in the automotive industry.
  • Design, build and test efficient, high-quality embedded code
  • Ensure robustness of the code in the face of heavy-duty hardware use
  • Ensure the robustness and security of wireless communication with other devices
  • Ensure the software is as protected and tamper-proof as the hardware platform can provide
  • Collaborate on the design of future revisions of the product.
  • Correct errors by making appropriate changes and rechecking the program to ensure obtaining the desired results
  • Conduct trial runs of programs and software applications to ensure they will produce the desired information and that the instructions are correct.
  • Perform or direct revision, repair, or expansion of existing programs to increase operating efficiency or adapt to new requirements
  • Consult with managerial, engineering, and technical personnel to clarify program intent, identify problems, and suggest changes.
  • Perform systems analysis and programming tasks to maintain and control the use of computer systems software as a systems programmer
  • Compile and write documentation of program development and subsequent revisions, inserting comments in the coded instructions so others can understand the program.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science or a related field.
  • Proficiency in embedded C/C++ programming, Python programming, and JAVA hands-on experience is a plus.
  • Experience with real-time operating systems and automotive communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, and FlexRay.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in embedded software development, preferably in the automotive sector.
  • Experience with the USB Communication
  • Experiencing interfacing with OBDII tools such as OPUS IVS and Intrepid Control System Tools
  • Familiarity with using electronic measuring tools such as a digital multimeter and oscilloscope
  • Writing a windows application that interfaces with USB peripherals
  • Experience in PLC programming (this is a plus)
  • In-depth knowledge of the programming of the microcontroller (this is a plus)

-Salary range for this position begins at PHP 80,000 / month and is negotiable based on experience.
