Deltek Engineering in Makati is responsible for creating new and innovative software solutions for our clients. We are a mixed team of Developers, Testers and Helpdesk Analysts. We work across a range of products and technology platforms and collaborate with co-workers across Deltek worldwide. Our primary focus is the ArchiSnapper & SafetySnapper solutions.

The environment in the Engineering department at Deltek Makati is modern, with break out areas to discuss ideas and an open plan layout to encourage collaboration. We work in small teams, with a focus on agility, best practice and quality whilst delivering to tight (but not unreasonable) timescales. There is also the option of home working. We pride ourselves on our open and encouraging environment and have a great track record of bringing new members into the team and helping them to become productive in a very short space of time. We provide mentoring and on the job training, as well as formal training where required. In this role, you will work in one of our agile SCRUM teams to develop new features for the ArchiSnapper & SafetySnapper product on Web & Mobile platforms. You will primarily work with Ruby & Dart languages coupled with Appium automation testing to complete your own work, as well as collaborating with your colleagues on complex solutions. You will work closely with members of the Engineering and Product Management teams.
QualificationsTo be successful in this role you will need to be able to demonstrate the following:
  • You will have completed a science-based degree (e.g. preferably Computer Science or similar) with some content related to software development (ideally in Ruby).
  • You will have 2-3 years experience working in a software engineer role
  • You will be experienced using Ruby, Rails, Dart, SQL, HTML & CSS and have a strong understanding of each language's syntax and features
  • You will be experienced using mobile development platforms for iOS and Android
  • You will be able to demonstrate understanding of object oriented principles and best practices such as SOLID
  • You'll have a good ability to perform individually and as part of a team
  • You will be familiar with the Agile Scrum development methodology
  • You will possess strong problem-solving, time, and project management skills
  • Be proficient in MS Office Suite
  • Possess strong interpersonal telephone and written/electronic communications skills
  • A 'can-do' attitude and strong work ethic are key in this role. Strong performance and output will result in excellent career progression.
