Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Trainer to facilitate training programs for employees in the areas of Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI). The role involves developing and delivering engaging training materials, providing one-on-one coaching, and assessing performance to ensure continuous employee growth and development. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in BFSI training, exceptional communication and facilitation skills, and a passion for professional development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate training programs in BFSI areas, including new hire, progression, and enhancement training.
- Develop and maintain curriculum to support both classroom and alternative training methods.
- Provide feedback and recommendations for the improvement of existing training materials and techniques.
- Create non-classroom communication and training resources, including instructional guides and materials.
- Analyze course materials and learner data to enhance training outcomes.
- Ensure proper preparation and setup of training environments.
- Establish and maintain credibility as an instructor, creating a positive and engaging learning environment.
- Demonstrate effective communication, presentation, and questioning skills throughout training sessions.
- Respond to learner needs for clarification, feedback, and support during training.
- Utilize diverse instructional methods and media to improve the learning experience.
- Evaluate learner performance and adjust instructional delivery as necessary.
- Provide ongoing feedback and coaching to employees to support their growth and development.
- Conduct pre- and post-training surveys to gather insights and improve future training initiatives.
- Collaborate with supervisors to address employee performance gaps and ensure continuous learning.
- Participate in client interactions and offer feedback on curriculum and training improvements.
- Uphold the highest ethical and professional standards in all interactions with employees and stakeholders.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in BFSI (Banking, Finance, Services Insurance, Credit Cards, Online Banking, Loans) roles.
- At least 4 years of experience in a training role, with a focus on instructional design and delivery.
- Strong communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent leadership, time-management, and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to assess learner progress and provide constructive feedback.
- At least 1 year of experience in adult education.
- Ability to adapt to changing roles and responsibilities.
- Bachelor's degree from a reputable institution.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including night shifts.
- Call center experience (1 year), with both inbound and outbound exposure, is preferred.
- Previous customer service experience, particularly in BFSI, is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in line with North American business standards.
- Proficiency in using computers and training software.
- Willingness to travel as required.
