Job Overview:     The Business Development Manager (Pet Food) – Philippines will be responsible for driving the growth of Addiction Pet Foods in the Philippines by developing and executing strategies to open new accounts, maintain strong customer relationships, manage distributors, resolve customer issues, and forecast sales. The BDM will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the brand’s success in the market. 
Key Responsibilities: Business Development & Sales Growth 
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities to expand Addiction Pet Foods’ presence in the Philippines.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key retailers, pet specialty stores, veterinarians, and e-commerce platforms.
  • Lead negotiations and contract agreements with new accounts to drive sales growth.
  • Develop sales strategies and execute market expansion plans.
Customer & Distributor Management
  • Work closely with distributors to ensure effective product placement, availability, and competitive pricing.
  • Provide training and support to distributors and retail partners on product knowledge and sales techniques.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention.
  • Monitor distributor performance and provide actionable recommendations for improvements.
Issue Resolution & Customer Service
  • Address and resolve any issues or concerns from customers, ensuring a high standard of service.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for distributor and retail partners in resolving supply chain, logistics, and product-related concerns.
  • Work with internal teams to ensure smooth operations and order fulfillment.
Sales Forecasting & Market Analysis
  • Analyze market trends, sales data, and customer insights to create accurate sales forecasts.
  • Develop strategies to achieve sales targets and increase market share.
  • Provide regular reports and updates to the Regional Sales Director.
Marketing, Brand Awareness & Events
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to execute promotional campaigns and brand activations.
  • Represent Addiction Pet Foods at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities.
  • Attend and actively participate in pet expos, trade fairs, and other promotional events to increase brand visibility.
  • Support social media and digital marketing initiatives to boost brand awareness.

Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, business development, or distributor management in the pet food industry.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience working with distributors, retailers, and e-commerce platforms.
  • Ability to analyze sales data and market trends to drive strategic decisions.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently.
  • Willingness to travel within the Philippines as required.
