Oversees and ensures successful execution of the Department's activities, including:

  • Providing legal advisory and policy management services to the Trust Banking Group;
  • Monitoring internal and external audit examinations;
  • Assisting in Board-level and Management-level Committee Meetings (Operations Committee, Trust Committee).

Legal and Regulatory Advisory

  • Provides legal and regulatory advice on the Group's fiduciary activities and assesses risks for business decisions;
  • Coordinates with the Bank's Legal Services Division and external counsel regarding case statuses and strategies;
  • Prepares or reviews contracts, agreements, and correspondences with clients, counterparties, and service providers.

Policy Management

  • Develops, reviews, and amends TBG's policies, procedures, forms, and agreements, communicating changes to stakeholders;
  • Maintains and updates the policies and procedures repository;
  • Manages the Manual of Policies and Procedures, overseeing reviews and revisions;
  • Conducts educational campaigns on trust regulations, policies, and procedures;
  • Provides advisory services on BSP rules, regulations, and internal policies related to Trust and Fiduciary activities.

Internal and External Audits

  • Coordinates data/information submissions to regulatory bodies and internal control units;
  • Assists in preparing and consolidating audit responses;
  • Monitors audit findings, recurring issues, and process lapses, tracking corrective actions and directives.

Other Duties

  • Supports Board-Level and Management-Level Committees;
  • Performs other functions as assigned.
