Job description

JOB PURPOSE:

The position shall be responsible for supporting growth targets of Generika through accelerated store network expansion strategies.

JOB FUNCTION:

  1. Implement store expansion strategies.
  2. Assess viability of sites through sound business intelligence and analytics. Determines the right business model for proposed site location.
  3. Manage store network development process with the end in mind of achieving cluster location leadership.
  4. Oversee lease management which includes lease renewal contracts and review of lease terms and conditions.
  5. Build and coordinate third-party real estate consultants.
  6. Prepare accurate site forecasts and propose the right business model.
  7. Effectively manage the site acquisition process to ensure on-time and efficient site turnover.
  8. Responsible for overseeing and effectively negotiating lease renewals, rental agreements, and harmonious lessor relationship management.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education and work experience:

  1. Bachelors of Business Administration, Business or equivalent is relevant for this role.
  2. At least 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in the food or drug retail industry.
  3. Excellent knowledge of the real estate market and retail competition.
  4. Well versed in working with Profit and Loss.
  5. Strong networking and negotiation skills.

  1. Proven knowledge of information analysis.
  2. Hands-on experience in data collection analysis.
  3. Applies logic to solve problems and get the job done.
  4. Proficient in using accounting software, preferably SAP, MS Office applications, and business intelligence tools.
  5. Skilled at both oral and written communication that can influence others. Uses effective examples and visual aids that have an impact on the audience.
  6. Ability to obtain information from several sources to address present needs.
  7. Has personal and professional ethics and fosters a diverse and respectful workplace.
  8. Can enlist the support and cooperation of others and encourage them to be proactive.
  9. Ability to respond to clients and anticipate their needs.
  10. Achieves goals in a timely manner while providing excellent client service.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
