Nasdaq is seeking a Senior Manager – Systems Operations to implement organization strategies through effective direction and management of resources, and to be accountable for business strategies, functional or operational areas, processes or programs.

Be responsible and accountable for managing and developing a team, setting direction, and deploying resources on varying projects. You will participate in organization-wide projects and provide guidance and expertise as needed. Managers should understand how other business units operate, align goals with organizational goals, and have budget and profit/loss responsibility.

• Manage Daily Technical Operations including Application Management and Support for all Nasdaq-provided services, including 24/7 Technical Operations and Application Support; handle incidents for internal and external customers; install application updates and maintain operational documentation and procedures.
• Perform real-time monitoring of systems for software/hardware errors, failures and capacity issues; troubleshoot, diagnose and collaborate with other analysts and development teams.
• Lead and develop a team of professionals and/or supervisors; support performance reviews and talent development.
• Set goals, plan, and implement procedures to maximize operating efficiency; adapt plans to address resource and operational challenges.
• Prioritize and assign project responsibilities; monitor progress and status.
• Contribute to internal and external projects tied to organizational strategy.
• Provide technical mentorship to employees, colleagues, and customers.
• Evaluate current business processes and formulate unit policies and practices.
• Coordinate financial and budget activities for operational efficiency.
• Review performance data to monitor efficiency, progress toward goals, and activity levels.
• Motivate, develop, recruit, and retain employees, fostering a high-performing team culture.

• Education: Degree in a relevant field or equivalent working experience.
• Experience: At least 6–8 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledgeable in Unix / Linux commands from basic to advanced.
• Experience in Agile and DevOps environments.
• Experience writing shell scripts in Bash/Ruby/Python.
• Experience with Gitlab, configuration management (Ansible/Chef/Puppet), containerization (Docker), Cloud (AWS) and orchestration systems (Kubernetes) is aPlus.
• Prior management experience is required.
