Role Summary:
Responsible for leading and driving the success of all digital products within the ATRAM Group. This is a strategic leadership role that requires a deep understanding of customer needs, market trends, and agile methodologies. The Product Manager will oversee the entire product lifecycle, from ideation and roadmap development to launch, growth, and ongoing optimization, ensuring alignment with the company's overall business objectives.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Product Strategy and Planning:
- Identify and evaluate market opportunities: Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify new product opportunities and addressable market segments.
- Define and execute the product roadmap. Develop and maintain product vision, strategy, and roadmaps aligned with business objectives.
- Conduct thorough requirements gathering: Research, document, and plan for detailed product requirements to ensure that products meet business needs, performance objectives, and deliver an exceptional customer experience.
- Translate business needs into product strategy: Collaborate with internal project stakeholders (e.g., client segments, investment product group, operations, marketing, information technology, information security, compliance) to translate business needs into a robust product strategy.
Product Development and Execution:
- Lead agile development sprints: Facilitate scrum ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Refinement, and Retrospectives), and lead agile development sprints, including backlog grooming and daily stand-up meetings.
- Oversee product development and testing: Review and approve product designs, user interfaces, and user experiences. Oversee product development and testing phases, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
- Support post-implementation activities: Support post-implementation tasks such as user training, production problem investigation, escalation, and resolution.
Customer Experience and Growth
- Deeply understand customer needs and behaviors: Create products that deliver exceptional value by deeply understanding customer needs and behaviors.
- Analyze and optimize product performance: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to track product performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders: Work closely with business and supports units. Be involved in the crafting and execution of organizational/departmental plans, strategize on branding, screen flows and designs, product launches, user acquisition, engagement, and retention.
People Management:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing product development team.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment that encourages innovation and professional growth.
- Set clear goals, objectives, and performance expectations for the team.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Address team challenges and resolve conflicts effectively.
Stakeholder Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization, including business leaders, engineers, designers, and customers.
- Effectively communicate product vision, strategy, and progress to stakeholders.
- Gain stakeholder buy-in for product decisions and secure necessary resources (manpower, infrastructure, budget)
Internal Audit, Risk Management and Compliance
- Ensure the Platforms team remains compliant to regular Compliance and Risk tasks such as daily operational incident reporting, monthly business unit compliance checking, and the annual business continuity planning.
- Remediate processes as required by the Compliance and Risk team
- Respond and develop resolutions to Internal Audit observations
Competencies Required:
- Proven track record of successfully leading a product development team.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to think strategically and drive innovative solutions.
- Working knowledge of UI/UX, Agile software development and web technologies
- Project management skills, knowledgeable on detailed project activities and dynamics
Education and Experience Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Business/Information Technology/Data Management/Finance/Economics/Mathematics or similar course with recognized certifications and qualifications preferred
- 7+ years of experience in digital services, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Exposure to the asset management or related financial services industry is an advantage
