  • Task based certification (Digital Content Editor)
  • Pub Management— Jon Order Inventory (JOI), Content Enhancement, Cite Checking; Copy Editing; Cite Validation, Release Finalizing, Print Clear Processing, Web-scraping (PG/LPA)
  • Print and Digital Composition—Desktop Publishing, Adobe InDesign formatting (Intermediate-Advanced), XML Tag and Merge, VISF tagging, Graphics/Adobe Photoshop editing, MS Word formatting
  • Electronic Conversion – Data validation, cite checking, eBook, online and Alpha conversion
  • Quality Checking – Print and electronic file QC
  • Copyright Registration and Admin Tasks

Newsletter and Mealey's certification training, similar to the training performed by LexisNexis Legal Pub Owners, Legal Editors, Legal Practice Advisors, Make-Ready Team, and CPOs (Coordinator, Publications Operation).

Accountabilities

The function is accountable for managing the following areas:

  1. Supports product delivery for print and electronic publications in accordance with production cycle time and accuracy requirements.
  2. Responsible for the publications assigned by management. Initiates final product output extraction delivery per schedule or signoff by content owners.
  3. Ensures timely posting of daily news, breaking news, weekly/bi-weekly/monthly/quarterly publication reports, and statuses as required by management. Completes cleanup tasks on top of daily milestones.
  4. Adheres to production, tracking, and communication best practices. Recognizes potential errors/roadblocks. Proactively identifies future issues and acts to remediate problems and improve processes.
  5. Coordinates regularly with local Editors, Ops Analysts, US Stakeholders such as Mealey's CopyDesk - Legal Editors, LNUS Ops, Subject Matter Experts, Manufacturing Buyers, Suppliers, and Print Vendors to manage daily activities and milestones.
  6. Manages Webstar updates, status, action items, and coordinates with responsible teams or individuals to resolve issues via Webstar ticketing system.
  7. Performs basic administrative and organizational tasks to ensure timely completion of products and projects.
  8. Conducts rules-based quality assurance and proof review following established standards, verifying styling, formatting, and standardization rules.
  9. Supports team decisions, fosters a supportive team environment, mentors colleagues, and addresses knowledge gaps to build competence within the team, department, and US counterparts.
