Overview

Financial Services and Tax Senior Analyst at Kimberly-Clark. This role is responsible for accurate financial and tax reporting in accordance with US GAAP and local GAAP, and for driving control and compliance initiatives across the organization. Primary activities include supporting month-end and year-end financial reporting, analysis, and closing activities, and working closely with other functions on control and compliance initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Tax and statutory compliance: Ensure timely and accurate completion of government income and indirect tax returns and estimated tax payments
  • Tax planning, audit, and accounting support: Ensure timely and accurate delivery of information in support to tax planning, audit, and accounting activities
  • Internal and external tax collaboration: Act as the main contact to work with tax consultants internally and externally
  • Documentation requests: Work closely with BIR to deliver documentation requests
  • Tax strategy: Strategize tax outcomes with cluster financial controller, APAC tax manager and country finance director
  • Financial and management reporting: Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and local GAAP
  • Balance sheet review: Review balance sheet movement with segment controller on a regular basis
  • Reconciliation and accounts: Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations, primarily for local GAAP accounts not supported by GBS, such as WHT, VAT, employee advances, and other local GL accounts
  • CFIs and audit support: Ensure financial and management reporting is in accordance with corporate financial instructions; support external and internal audits to review processes and ensure policy compliance
  • Cash flow and permits: Understand free cash flow and assist the business in achieving targets; maintain and renew business permits and licenses and file relevant government documents
  • Global projects liaison: Serve as a point of contact between Finance and business functions on control matters; assist in developing and implementing accounting policies and procedures; support ABU structure
Key To Success In This Role
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or higher in finance or related field
  • At least 8-10 years relevant experience, preferably in auditing
  • Computer literate with strong MS Office; Excel and PowerPoint; SAP knowledge is a plus
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Ability to articulate clearly and work well with non-finance stakeholders; solution-driven
  • Ability to meet stringent reporting deadlines and handle corporate reporting responsibilities
  • Team player with good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Independent, detail-oriented, analytical, and proactive in participating in global initiatives
