Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance to all Safety and Housekeeping Standards prescribed by Client and LGU;
  • Monitor and ensure compliance of PPE, Safety and Housekeeping in project areas by conducting planned inspections;
  • Monitor and witness different site activities (i.e. breaking, pouring of concrete, asphalting, hydro and restoration) and record project reports related to HSE and update the same to the Safety Manager and Project Manager;
  • Review documents and validate safety materials/supplies request, withdrawal and return slips/documents/records;
  • Provide and maintain all field offices or project sites with necessary safety supplies, uniforms, first aid kit, signage and other materials or tools related therein;
  • Update, monitor and check proper organization and handling of materials, tools, safety supplies/equipment;
  • Maintain and update an inventory of all safety materials/supplies, tools and uniforms as well as reconcile inventory against withdrawals/consumptions;
  • Conduct Safety Orientation for all projects at the beginning/start of a project or as the need arises;
  • Attend regular project meetings, safety meetings and the like as required;
  • Ensure that construction site is adopting an effective Construction Safety Management System in accordance with the DOLE Health, Safety and Environmental Regulations, Health and Safety standards and with other government authorities having jurisdiction;
  • Implement all rules and regulations regarding safety matters and monitor all Safety Aides' daily tasks on site and educate them on what is better for the site to avoid any accidents and fatalities;
  • Perform on-site duty inspections related to abnormal operating conditions and take necessary steps to resolve outstanding issues;
  • Inform Safety Manager and Project Manager of any unsafe acts of all staff, sub-contractors and workers;
  • Assist with enforcement of temporary closures of work sites that are in violation of Company's Safety Regulation;
  • Maintain awareness of current or relevant clients' safety regulations;
  • Ensure implementation, evaluation and improvement of QMS related to your function is being regularly monitored;
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as may be instructed or assigned from time to time.
