Remote Senior Laravel Backend Developer or Fullstack developer

DigitalTolk is an organisation and company that works to make an impact. Our purpose is to give a voice to those who don't speak the local language; we arrange translators so that patients can get medical treatments in their new country and communicate with doctors. We arrange translators for crime victims so that they can get justice. Our job is to arrange interpreters through our platform for our customers. Our end customers are hospitals, courts/lawyers, and municipalities who communicate with refugees and other people in need. Our company purpose is to use technology to make the world a better place. Job description

We are looking for a highly skilled Laravel Developer to collaborate with a team of designers and developers to create web applications, platforms and solutions for our own products (some of which are customer facing, others which are for internal use). You will be responsible for developing the backend and unit test of the web applications. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills and ability to create testable, reusable, and scalable code.

Responsibilities
  • Develop backend and unit tests for web applications.
  • Collaborate with designers and developers to build web applications, platforms and solutions for internal and customer-facing use.
  • Create testable, reusable, and scalable code.
Requirements / Qualifications
  • Experience with Laravel and Vue/Vuex for backend and frontend development. Experience with Next/Next or React is beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Strong coding skills, understanding of architecture and design patterns, experience with Redis and message queues (Redis, Kafka, SQS, Laravel Queues, RabbitMQ).
  • Experience with architectural patterns including microservices, serverless, and core infrastructure; passion for Laravel.
