Job Description

The Funds Application Analyst is responsible for developing, documenting, and supporting standard and custom reports within the company's systems for both internal and external clients. The role includes system administration, access management, process optimization, and controls. Building relationships with client services teams using these applications is essential, as is understanding pain points and devising solutions. This role requires a deep technical knowledge of the platforms used, input into development roadmaps, and the promotion of best practices.

  1. Collect, analyze, and document requirements and business processes related to reports and report migration across systems.
  2. Understand requirements and work towards end goals for reporting and projects efficiently and accurately.
  3. Review and document the functional design of reports.
  4. Ensure and follow controls and processes around business requests.
  5. Participate actively in team efforts on report design and review across global locations.
  6. Identify, report, and document gaps and enhancements.
  7. Collaborate within the Funds Product Team to deliver high-quality service across the application suite based on client needs.
  8. Seek improvements and efficiencies for business requirements.
  9. Quickly learn and understand client and internal needs.
  10. Administer FIS Investran.
  11. Support MS Office tools, especially Excel formulas.

Qualifications

  • Experience coding in programming languages such as Excel VBA, VB.net, Java, C#, or any .NET language.
  • Minimum of 2 years of report writing experience.
  • Experience writing complex SQL queries.
  • Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation.
  • Experience working in financial services, particularly in the funds industry; accounting knowledge is beneficial.
  • Experience working in a global environment; French language skills are beneficial.
  • Knowledge of BI, Data, and Analytics platforms (Required).
  • Proficiency in Excel formulas (Required), including text formulas, VLOOKUP, SUMIF, COUNTIF.
  • Knowledge of SQL (Required).
  • Knowledge of Crystal Reports (Desired), including report creation, formulas, formatting, troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as C#, Java, VB.Net, Python, R (Beneficial).
  • Ability to meet internal and external deliverables while maintaining high standards.
  • Excellent attention to detail, communication skills, and written and spoken English.
  • Strong analytical, numerical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
