To get closer to ZEISS' customers in Southeast Asia, the organization established its first office in the region in 1984 in Singapore. Over the years, direct sales and service operations expanded into Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, Vietnam, and Indonesia. This is further supplemented by a network of reliable business partners across the region.
The ZEISS offices in Southeast Asia focus mainly on Medical Technology, Vision Care, and Industrial Quality Research business segments in the region.
We are currently looking for a Sales and Application Specialist to join our office in Cebu. More details about the role can be found below:
Role Purpose:- This position is responsible for sales and marketing initiatives, providing sales and clinical application support on Ophthalmic Devices in sales territories, as well as customer and KOL engagement on a regular basis.
- To develop and grow the ZEISS market share in the ophthalmic market through increasing sales and revenue through strong business relationships with customers.
- Develop an effective action plan to achieve the annual budget.
- Develop creative sales proposals to maximize sales potential for sales accounts.
- Sales conversion of competitors' users to Zeiss products users.
- Negotiate the terms of agreement and closing sales.
- Work towards monthly sales target and KPIs set forth.
- Maintain, develop and build long-term relationships with new and existing customers for company's growth sustainability.
- Develop junior surgeons to become Zeiss products users.
- Maintenance, update and report on competitors' activities, new product launches, market shares and pricing.
- Gathering of customer and market information in a timely manner to stay competitive.
- Attend to customers' needs and requirements as well as providing prompt after-sales service - Collect, consolidate, and prepare sales, marketing reports for management.
- Provide clinical application support on pre & post sales of allocated territories.
- Work with surgeons from patient selection and provide effective case support in operation theater for surgeons to ensure smooth application during surgeries.
- Follow up on post-surgical patient outcomes and address any issues that may arise.
- Identify potential KOLs based on product focus.
- Work with internal stakeholders (Sales Manager, Product Managers, Professional Education Managers etc) on engagement plans for KOLs.
- Plan and coordinate workshop/talk for continuous education for users.
- Liaise effectively with team members and support staff for quality demonstrations and workshops.
- Attend to conferences, exhibitions, and ZEISS events as and when required.
- Degree in Business, Marketing and/or a Diploma in Bachelor of Science.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in Sales / Business Development in the medical device consumables industry, preferably with strong preference in ophthalmology, optometry, nursing or any related role.
- Excellent business development skills.
- Experienced in supporting surgery cases in operating theatres.
- Demonstrated strong sales competency, e.g., exceeded sales target.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Excellent team player with ability to work under minimal supervision.
- High customer orientation and positive mindset.
- Good command of written and spoken English.
- Strong business acumen and analytical skills.
