We are looking for an experienced Customs & Trucking Coordinator who manages the customs and transport of goods from start to finish. He/She prepares documentation, monitors regulations, and works with customs officials. He/She may also coordinate freight transportation.

Customer Service:

  • Act as the key in charge for all customer inquiries in relation to customs clearance and delivery.
  • Answer inquiries in relation to customs from the customer and provide immediate resolution.
  • Attend customer meetings as necessary for related shipment subjects for releasing and delivery.
  • Ensure all customer complaints and needed resolutions are covered, addressed, and or escalated for proper resolution.
  • Perform escalation to CB&T Manager for customer issues and concerns for proper resolution and decision making.

Operations:

  • Key in charge for the customs clearance procedures and delivery of customer shipments.
  • Maintain and ensure to encode and update Job files to RLI System. Ensure to create Job Files to RLI system for all CIF (Direct) Shipments of Customers for Customs Clearance and Trucking services.
  • Monitor and check arrival status of the cargo upon receipt of notification from customer and or from RLI Freight operations.
  • Work closely with the RLI freight team for the export requirements of the customer including schedules and LCT.
  • Provide necessary updates and reports to the customer for latest arrival of cargo or in cases changes as necessary.
  • Conduct HS code classification on critical goods subject for import and export but escalate to the CB&T Manager for proper approval as necessary.
  • Review shipping documents and recommend changes in compliance with Philippines customs laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Ensure all shipping documents are complete and proper before sharing with the Customs Broker vendor for lodgment.
  • Review all estimated customs duties and taxes computation by the Customs Broker and provide necessary recommendations for change as necessary in compliance with the Philippine customs laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Secure approval from the Customer of the estimate computation of duties and taxes and provide approval of the computation to the Customs Broker to proceed with lodgment.
  • Monitor customs clearance process until Final Assessment and payment of duties and taxes of the customer.
  • Arrange booking with the vendor trucker for delivery requirements based on the advice of the customer.
  • Ensure fulfillment of Delivery for all RLI DAP Shipments in coordination with Consignee's Customs Broker.
  • Ensure delivery (import) and pick up (export) are fulfilled by the vendor trucker.
  • Ensure all delivery (import) and pick up (export) documents are complete and proper from the vendor trucker.
  • Prepare and update Customs and Trucking Report for the KPI performance of the vendor customs brokers and trucker.
  • Prepare and update shipment report requirement of the customer and submit timely feedback based on agreed requirements.

Financials:

  • Receive and review all vendor customs brokers and trucker billings, ensuring proper alignment with the agreed or contract rates.
  • Prepare payment vouchers for the billing invoices of the vendor customs brokers and truckers.
  • Execute necessary updates and encoding details in the RLI system and ensure all documents are accounted and included in the billing invoices of the vendor customs brokers and truckers.
  • Prepare and execute billing invoices using RLI system for the customer and ensure necessary documents are proper and accounted.
  • Monitor and keep on track shipment subject to container deposit.
  • Prepare documentation for the container deposit refund.

Compliance:

  • Ensure that consignees and shippers have valid Certificate of Registration with the Bureau of Customs.
  • Adhere to company policy in the performance of work and commitment to operational excellence.
  • Escalate to CB&T Manager on all matters relating to rates, contracts, and agreements with vendor customs brokers and truckers.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of Business Course, preferably Bachelor of Science in Customs Administration.
  • A licensed customs broker is an advantage but not preferred.
  • With proven experience of at least 2 - 3 years in a Customs Brokerage company, handling imports and export shipments for both consumptions and or PEZA related shipments.
  • Knowledgeable on documents and processes with shipping lines, airport terminals, and PEZA zone.
  • Tech-savvy and with intermediate knowledge of Microsoft applications such as MS Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Strong analytical skills, problem resolution, and can work with minimal supervision.
  • Adaptable to fast-paced business environment.
  • Willing to be assigned in Cupang Muntinlupa until end of May then transfer to Two ECOM MOA Pasay by the month of June.
