Job Overview

Silver Dragon Group is seeking a highly experienced and strong leader to serve as Motorpool Maintenance Manager, overseeing the maintenance, repair, and efficient operation of our fleet of construction vehicles, trucks, and heavy equipment. The role ensures maximum equipment uptime, cost-effective repairs, and full compliance with safety and regulatory standards, while effectively managing and motivating a skilled maintenance team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for the company's entire fleet
  • Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
  • Provide hands-on leadership, mentoring, and performance evaluation for motorpool staff (lead mechanics, mechanics, electricians, tiremen, partsmen)
  • Approve and oversee repair schedules, work orders, and spare parts procurement
  • Coordinate with operations, logistics, and procurement to minimize downtime and prioritize urgent repairs
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, cost reports, and performance KPIs
  • Enforce safety protocols and compliance with LTO, DOLE, and DENR regulations
  • Monitor and improve fuel efficiency across the fleet
  • Plan and manage CAPEX for fleet upgrades, replacements, and new acquisitions

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of managerial or supervisory experience in motorpool or fleet maintenance operations
  • Proven expertise in construction vehicles and heavy equipment (dump trucks, mixers, loaders, excavators, etc.)
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Technology, or related field (preferred)
  • TESDA NC II/III or equivalent automotive servicing certification (advantage)
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, discipline, and develop a high-performing team
  • Technical proficiency in diesel and gasoline engines, hydraulics, welding, and fabrication
  • Proficient in fleet management systems and maintenance scheduling tools
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities
  • Willing to travel to project sites when necessary

Preferred Skills

  • Fleet maintenance management certification
  • ISO-based maintenance SOP development experience
  • Fuel consumption monitoring and cost optimization expertise
  • Strong vendor and contractor negotiation skills

Work Location:

Negros Occidental – Motorpool Facility (with occasional site visits)
