Synapsewerx is seeking highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Streaming Engineer withsignificanthands-on expertise in Kafka technologies. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of knowledge and experience from working within well known organisations, having been part of large-scale data streaming projects. This role is pivotal in guiding our clients through theirintelligent transformationjourneys, delivering exceptional Kafka solution designs, and leading our event streaming delivery teams to new heights of innovation and success.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the solution designand implementation of best practice data-led integration architectures using Kafka, ensuring scalability, performance, and strong security.
• Engage with clientsto understand their event and data streaming challenges and provide considered, tailored integration solutions.
• Drive the adoption ofbest practices in integration solution design, includingdata-led reference architecturesandAPI Security
• Mentor and guide the data streaming team, fostering an environment of learning and personal growth.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in data and integration technologies to continuously enhance our service offerings.

Experience

• A minimum of 3 years experience delivering complex Kafka implementation projects.
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in systems integrations, with a broad exposure to various integration technologies such as:Boomi, MuleSoft, Tibco, WebMethods and Oracle.
• At least 3-5 years of senior consulting and solution design experiencewithKafka or Amazon MSK, having led successful streaming solutions for multiple enterprise clients.
• Demonstrable consulting expertise, with a strong ability to engage and advise clients on their integration and data streaming initiatives.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills, with a track record of tackling complex integration challenges.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively within a diverse team and with clients across various industries.
• A passion for continuous learning and professional development, aligned with Synapsewerx's values of innovation and community.

Skills

• Advanced Kafka experience preferably gained in a Confluent or Amazon MSK environment
• Extensive experience designing and building solutions using distributed technologies and data frameworks with Kafka, Flink, Spark and Hadoop
• Advanced practical integration development expertise in a range of integration technologies including Kafka, Microservices, Boomi, MuleSoft, Tibco, WebMethods, etc.
• Java Virtual Machine (JVM) tuning and troubleshooting
• Experience with operating Linux, ability to configure, tune and troubleshoot both RedHat & Debian based distributions
• Advanced DevOps CI/CD
• Advanced integration / API Security
• Waterfall and Agile delivery experience
• Rest / SOAP Web Services
• Actively using AI tooling to accelerate development and configuration
• Hyperscale platform expertise in any of the following: Azure, AWS, GCP, Oracle
• Integration or steaming to any of the following applications: SAP, S/4HANA, Salesforce, ServiceNow, Workday, Maximo, NetSuite, Oracle Fusion Cloud, MS Dynamics, PeopleSoft, SuccessFactors
• Bachelor of Science / Computing degree
• Server-side scripting (Shell / Bash)
• Strong interest in Lakehouse architectures
