General Summary

The Club Manager will direct and supervise the staff and day-to-day operations in the assigned branch location, ensuring delivery of quality customer service and achievement of sales or productivity goals.

Skills and Qualifications

  1. Associates degree and equivalent industry experience required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
  2. At least three years of experience in the Fitness Industry with at least one year as a Club Manager highly preferred.
  3. Excellent leadership and management skills.
  4. Excellent sales, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
  5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  6. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  7. Ability to prioritize tasks, delegating when appropriate.
  8. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  9. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  10. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate good powers of observation and identify weaknesses before they become problematic.
  • Collaborate with Line Manager to set performance standards based on financial and operational goals and compliance with policies and regulations.
  • Identify training needs and opportunities; develop and implement a plan for meeting those needs.
  • Maintain and develop positive relationships with existing and prospective clients, demonstrating excellent customer service and setting an example for other staff.
  • Be proactive, eager to learn, and respectful in all dealings with staff, prospects, guests, and members.
  • Network and build lasting professional relationships with guests and members while looking for ways to increase monthly sign-ups.
  • Work with a broad client base and a capable team member.
  • Work under pressure and answer questions from staff and members in a polite and courteous manner.
  • Drive increased membership and meet monthly sales goals for membership, developing strong marketing plans to increase membership numbers.
  • Undertake other duties as required for the successful completion of your job.
