We're searching for our next Motion Designer with a knack for storytelling and a sharp eye for digital/social content. In this role, you'll bring brand stories to life through engaging motion graphics and animated content, with support across video editing when needed. You'll collaborate with Copywriters & Designers to build thumb-stopping work that performs across social, paid media, and digital channels.

As the Motion Designer, your mission is to ideate and execute beautiful, effective motion designs that bring to life the story of our digital healthcare brands. The role is predominantly 2D animation with some video editing, however adding a dimension with 3D modelling and animation skills would be a big bonus.

As a Motion Designer at Eucalyptus, you will:

• Collaborate with other Designers, Art Directors, Motion Designers, Editors and Copywriters to execute creative assets.
• Create visually appealing assets and motion content across the Eucalyptus brands, evolving your style for each.
• Follow brand guidelines, motion guidelines and ensure the creative assets are consistently on-brand.
• Use various Adobe Creative Suite apps including After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator as well as Figma files to create motion assets.
• Use existing After Effects files to make further amends, resized versions or alterations.
• Undertake basic sound editing and sound effects.
• Understand and implement creative best practices to optimise motion content for YouTube, YouTube Shorts, Instagram Story, Facebook Ads and other channels.
• Communicate your thinking through storyboards and treatment decks.
• Help people understand complex health concepts through short and long form content, for example 2D explainers, UI animations, animated infographics.
• Champion efficient and organised filing for raw assets and exports.
• Lead the successful delivery of motion design assets from start to finish, including interpreting briefs through to asset delivery.
• Stay up to date with the latest in tooling and workflow processes in the motion design world.

Skills & Experience

• A demo reel with your best work.
• Strong conceptual and art directional skillset.
• 6+ years experience working as a motion designer / animator.
• Strong design fundamentals and an understanding of how to apply motion principles in a way that enhances storytelling and brand recognition.
• Comfortable building narratives through motion or editing, always with an eye on what will hook the viewer.
• A deep understanding of the principles of great motion design.
• High proficiency using After Effects & Premiere Pro—you can animate and edit with confidence.
• Experience with feedback tools such as Iconik, or Figma.
• Solid understanding of social and online platforms and respective creative best practices.
• A proven interest in various forms of media, including social media, TV and video streaming.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• A high standard of written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively to achieve high quality results every time.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have's:

• Experience and proficiency with Cinema 4D or Blender is a bonus.
• Managerial or supervisory experience
