
Inventory Control Manager

Job ResponsibilitiesOverall responsible for managing/regulating the company's stocks and putting on the right controls in place in the movement of stocks, including receiving, storing, transferring, and fulfilling orders so that goods are available to meet customer demand at all times and inventory accuracy is always high, preventing issues like overstocking and short/wrong picks, inventory losses/write offs.
- Inventory Tracking: Monitoring physical stock levels vs system, implementing inventory control systems, and conducting cycle counts and audits.
- Coordination: Collaborating with each DC site to ensure smooth operations and accurate inventory records.
- Data Analysis: Analyzing inventory data to identify gaps, forecast future needs, and make recommendations for process improvements.
- Team Management: Supervising and training inventory management group (IMG) staff, including hiring and performance management.
- Process Improvement: Identifying and implementing strategies to improve inventory management and control processes and efficiency.
- Other tasks as may be required by the business
- 10+ years Inventory Management Expertise/ experience
- Strong understanding of inventory control principles, systems, and best practices
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions
- Communication Skills: Effective communication with various stakeholders, including internal teams and external vendors
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and maintain accurate records
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve inventory discrepancies and process issues
- Leadership Skills: Ability to supervise and motivate a multi-location team, potentially including hiring and performance management
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with inventory management tools and other relevant technologies
