Overview

You will satisfy the guests in our restaurant, meeting rooms and coffee & wine lounge. As a Food & Beverage trainee in our large hotel, you are responsible for the restaurant, meeting rooms, room service and coffee & wine lounge together with an international team.

Responsibilities
  • Be responsible for welcoming guests and ensuring excellent service across the hotel's food & beverage outlets (restaurant, lounge, and room service).
  • Provide thoughtful, personalized service, anticipate guests' needs, and communicate information about drinks, dishes and local attractions.
  • Talk about local products, take time for each guest even when busy, and contribute to a memorable guest experience during breakfast, day service, and evenings.
  • Prepare the restaurant for service and assist with tidying up breakfast; refill drinks in the bar to ensure beverages are always available.
  • Assist with setting up and maintaining the meeting rooms and floor areas to ensure a visually pleasing environment.
  • Work as part of an international team in a 4-star Mövenpick hotel with 72 rooms, a restaurant, coffee & wine lounge and 3 meeting rooms.
Qualifications
  • A student from hotel school or tourism education (HBO or MBO level) seeking an internship for 20 weeks or more.
  • Willingness to welcome guests, provide excellent service, and convey correct information about drinks and dishes.
  • Ability to take orders, make drinks, engage guests in conversation about their visit, and share knowledge about the city of The Hague.
  • Ability to work varied shifts (6:00–14:00, 07:00–15:00, 15:00–23:00) depending on location and business needs.
