  1. JOB PURPOSE

The Portfolio & Supply Chain Management Head is a strategic leader responsible for managing the product portfolio of Generika Drugstore and overseeing the organization's supply chain.

This position plays a critical role in ensuring Generika's portfolio is responsive to its Target Market's actual and emerging needs, as well as the efficient and cost-effective flow of merchandise within the organization's ecosystem, from sourcing and procurement, warehousing, and distribution. The key objective is to optimize the portfolio and supply chain to meet customer demand, minimize costs, and maximize profitability.

  1. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Portfolio Management:
    1. Develop and implement Generika's portfolio strategy, including the principles to be followed in the management of the entire product portfolio.
    2. Continuously build and manage the portfolio to ensure alignment with market demand, identifying the core and regional offerings as well as the Pareto SKUs.
    3. Actively manage the pricing and margin for each product to ensure alignment to the approved pricing strategy, and to drive growth and profitability.
    4. Lead product assessment for New Product Introductions and phasing out of products in the portfolio.
    5. Conduct regular portfolio and product performance analysis to continuously inform portfolio management and strategy.
    6. Lead the development of the overall trade strategy for Generika's portfolio of products and the creation of trade programs to execute on the strategy.
    7. Drive implementation of the trade programs in coordination with Marketing and RPU.
    8. Drive implementation of the strategy and programs for housebrands to increase sales and profitability, and support building their equity as brands.
    9. Develop and integrate portfolio programs into the Integrated Marketing Campaign efforts to drive awareness, consideration, trial and retention for Generika Drugstore.
    10. Drive improvement in shopper experience through hero product offerings aligned to portfolio priorities and calendar of consumer promotions.
  1. Supply Chain:
    1. Develop and implement a comprehensive supply chain strategy aligned with the organization's overall business goals.
    2. Manage supplier relationships and lead contract negotiations to get the best terms particularly on acquisition cost and MOQ.
    3. Oversee inventory management, forecasting, and purchasing activities to minimize stockouts and overstocking.
    4. Lead the development and implementation of efficient logistics and transportation processes.
    5. Manage and optimize warehousing operations to ensure efficient storage and retrieval of merchandise.
    6. Analyze supply chain data, identify trends, and implement strategies for continuous improvement.
    7. Develop and manage budgets for all supply chain activities.
    8. Lead a team of supply chain professionals and provide coaching and mentorship.
    9. Identify and mitigate potential supply chain disruptions, such as API, packaging and logistical issues.
    10. Assess new technologies and processes to improve supply chain efficiency.

  1. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  1. Bachelor's Degree is required
  2. Master in Business Administration (MBA) is preferred but not required.
  3. Course/Field of Study
    1. Business Administration
    2. Marketing Management
    3. Commerce
  4. Years of work experience (range) in the same industry/job
    1. At least 8-10 years of managerial experience in the FMCG or drug retail industry
  5. Certifications/Licenses
    1. Not required.
