As a Disaster Recovery Manager within Group Cloud Operations, you will play a crucial role managing disaster recovery activities for nominated AIA business units by governing and ensuring all requirements for business continuity are met according to AIA group standards and they comply with regulatory requirements. Act as coordinator and subject matter expert for Group Cloud Infrastructure to drive jointly with Group Business Continuity appropriate recoverability planning and testing along with Disaster Recovery best practices to mitigate the overall risk to AIA critical business operations.

Roles and Responsibilities:
  1. Work closely with the Group Business Continuity, Business Unit and internal delivery teams on service reporting activities.
  2. Perform business impact analyses (BIA) and risk assessments to quantify the impact of a major disruption to the organization's critical processes and to identify threats the organization is exposed to.
  3. Prepare, coordinate and conduct the organization's disaster recovery exercises and validation/test to enhance the preparedness of an organization to deal with disruptive events, ensuring the RTO (recovery time objectives) and RPO (recovery point objectives) for the organization's systems are met.
  4. Review disaster recovery approach and procedure, adjust disaster recovery runbook where necessary.
  5. Review organization's critical business function's recovery readiness, including reviewing the capability and capacity of recovery systems, oversight on the implementation of the solution and test to ensure DR readiness is in place.
  6. Advocate continuous service improvement to ensure improvement plan is in place to address operational gaps.
  7. Manage the Business Units Business Continuity Coordinators and Disaster Recovery third party vendor relationships.
  8. Manage stakeholders' relationship.
  9. Conduct disaster recovery postmortem, prepare test report and management reporting on disaster recovery activities for the Organization.
  10. Takes accountability in considering business and regulatory compliance risks and takes appropriate steps to mitigate the risks.
  11. Achieve successful completion of DR drill simulations according to target timeline and scope.
  12. Achieve the agreed RTO (recovery time objectives) and RPO (recovery point objectives) during real world disaster recovery events.
  13. Maintain compliance with security and regulatory requirements.
Communication Requirements:
  1. Communication with stakeholders including but not limited to local Business Units, Risk, Audit, IT, Corporate Security, Human Resources, and communication at all levels within key vendors and cloud managed service providers.
  2. Excellent command of spoken and written English to allow communication with all levels of stakeholders.
Minimum Job Requirements:Experience:
  1. 5+ years working experience providing IT Disaster Recovery (DR) service from designated regional IT hub for organization with global presence.
  2. Well-versed with ITIL IT Service Continuity Management or equivalent concept but not limited to the following: eg. DR Framework, DR Activation, DR Maintenance, DR Reinstatement etc
  3. Solid experience in digitalization and automation of DR Processes / Workflow.
  4. Proven track record in project management.
  5. Strong knowledge and understanding of Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity planning and testing processes.
  6. Proven track record of high performance in executing Live DR Test scenarios.
  7. Knowledge and experience in digitalization and automation of DR Process will be an advantage.
  8. Certification in Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery and related disciplines preferred.

This position will work under the direction of Senior Manager, Cloud Operations.
