As a Solution Architect, it's your job to ascertain that envisaged solutions become reality. You will lead client-facing engagements, comfortable in deep-dive technical workshops and in board-level sales presentations. You have design experience with web-based architectures and can shape scope for large-scale, complex projects. You are the vital mainstay for the development team during implementation and the expert liaison to customers and partners.

Responsibilities
  • Be part of the development team in a leading role, translating customer requirements into a distinguished design by discussing highly specific technical details and business outcomes.
  • Focus on security, deployment, performance, caching, sizing, scalability and serviceability.
  • Provide structure, clear explanations, guidance and oversight to the team while ensuring delivery within briefing, time and budget constraints.
  • Create technical architecture documentation; work with the QA lead to define the test strategy; lead DevOps to define and implement CI/CD pipelines.
  • Ensure implementations meet non-functional requirements and travel significantly, spending time on-site during inception phases and training/workshops.
Qualifications
  • Your knowledge of the Java platform exceeds expectations.
  • Experience with Spring, Maven and Jenkins.
  • Understanding of Service Oriented Architectures (SOA) and Micro-Services Architecture.
  • Proficiency with JavaScript frameworks, MVC patterns and REST APIs (RAML/OpenAPI).
  • Knowledge of architectural frameworks and best practices.
  • Experience with Enterprise Integration Patterns and Frameworks.
  • Broad operational knowledge of application servers, databases, load balancers and other infrastructure components for deploying web applications in a highly available and scalable environment.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English.
Nice to have
  • Experience creating solutions for financial services (banking).
  • Experience with Portal/Web Content Management; familiarity with architectural patterns like Microservices, CQRS, event sourcing.
  • Experience with server virtualization and container technologies (Docker, VMWare, HyperV).
  • Experience with Integration Platforms, API Gateways, etc.
