As a Senior Scrum Master, you will be responsible for guiding and coaching multiple Agile teams in Scrum practices, ensuring the effective implementation of Agile methodologies. You will play a crucial role in facilitating communication, removing impediments, and driving team success in delivering high-value products.
We are looking for someone with:
- At least 5-7 years with experience as a Scrum Master delivering complex technology solutions with a University Degree or College diploma.
- Strong working knowledge of key aspects of agile coaching and facilitation.
- Staying abreast of developments in own technical discipline and able to recognize and translate these to own working environment.
- Experience in handling squads involving stakeholders from multiple locations.
- Any of the following will be an advantage:
- Agile methodology certifications (CSM, CSPO, SAFe, LeSS, etc).
- Insurance Industry experience.
- ITIL Certification.
- Working knowledge of business intelligence, business process, and/or correspondence management platforms and integrating systems via API/web services.
- Knowledge of Agile planning and tracking tools.
- Good verbal and written communication; able to effectively articulate technical vision, possibilities, and outcomes.
On the job you will:
- Coach and support 1-2 Development teams.
- Provide direction/mentorship to Scrum Masters.
- Coach different levels of hierarchy through agile principles & practices.
- Proactively provide real-time feedback to keep delivery on track and address issues as they arise.
- Reinforce target agile behaviors.
- Facilitate the adoption of agile principles & practices.
- Help educate the squad on Agile practices and identify Agile Team improvement opportunities.
- Focus squads on value creation.
- Facilitate and actively participate in Agile events, workshops, and townhalls.
- Identify obstacles to team/s performance; facilitate resolution and escalate where necessary.
- Guide and empower the flow of a cross-functional feature team, providing a clear view of success and removing obstacles towards that end.
- Provide continual visibility into feature delivery, ensuring the right people are engaged at the right time.
- Collaborate with software engineers, platform engineers, Product Owners, and engineering leadership to uncover pain points and opportunities to accelerate the delivery of new value through software.
- Actively participate in sprints and partner with Product Owners to enable the delivery of prioritized features.
- Act as a servant leader to the team.
