We are looking for a Junior Web Quality Assurance Engineer who is comfortable working as part of a Scrum team and believes that the quality of the product is a team-responsibility. The candidate should demonstrate professionalism, commitment, and a passion for software development in team settings. A drive for continuous learning, exploring new technologies, and sharing knowledge with others is essential.

The ideal candidate is honest, self-aware of their capabilities, eager to learn and improve, confident, fun-loving, productive, and interested in growing their understanding of the business. They should be proactive in asking questions, reading, modeling others, and receptive to feedback.

Responsibilities
  • Own functional, regression, and acceptance testing of web applications, including layout, usability, and user experience improvements.
  • Participate in the entire software development life cycle.
  • Create and execute test plans for existing products and new features.
  • Collaborate with development teams to define testing protocols for new features.
  • Provide cross-functional test support.
  • Develop test scenarios from requirements, ensuring traceability.
  • Report bugs and issues using JIRA.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to identify system requirements.
  • Monitor debugging results and investigate non-conforming software issues.
  • Train users on implementing solutions.
  • Track quality metrics such as defect densities and open defect counts.
  • Stay updated with new testing tools and strategies.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer or Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields, or equivalent experience.
    • Experience with automation testing tools like Cypress, JMeter, Postman, or Selenium is a plus.
    • Familiarity with web protocols and data formats such as HTTPS and JSON.
    • Experience testing cloud APIs.
    • Understanding of UI/UX principles and user journeys.
    • Knowledge of test automation frameworks and integration in CI/CD pipelines.
