BROAD FUNCTION
  • Oversee daily transactions (e.g., accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, bank reconciliations)
  • Participate in tax audits
  • Prepare budget reports
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and laws
  • Experience with accounting software (e.g., FreshBooks and Zoho)
  • Manage spreadsheets, create charts, and use advanced formulas in MS Excel
  • Supervise and guide accounting staff
  • Prioritize work effectively
Duties/Responsibilities
  • Assist in preparing monthly and quarterly accounting reports
  • Analyze financial statements for accuracy and compliance
  • Identify cash flow issues and irregularities
  • Liaise with department heads to stay within budgets
  • Prepare and file tax returns on time
  • Perform general ledger reconciliations
  • Supervise accounting staff and provide guidance
  • Update management on financial status
  • Ensure legal compliance
  • Manage month-end and year-end closing processes
  • Organize financial data and maintain records
  • Track financial objectives progress
  • Establish and update accounting policies and procedures
Others
  • Ensure correspondence is properly sent to the head office
  • Follow rules set by HR, Accounting, and Purchasing departments
  • Attend training and re-orientation as required
