The Key Account Manager for Modern Trade will be responsible for managing and developing relationships with Key Modern Trade & Supermarket Accounts. This role plays a critical part in the company's success by ensuring effective sales strategies, maintaining customer satisfaction, and driving revenue growth.
The Key Account Manager will be responsible for the following:
- Manage key supermarket accounts: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, such as category managers and buyers, within assigned supermarket accounts. Act as the primary point of contact for all account-related matters.
- Develop and implement sales strategies: Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and product development, to develop comprehensive sales strategies for supermarket accounts. Identify growth opportunities, new product introductions, and promotional activities to maximize sales and market share.
- Achieve sales targets: Set ambitious sales targets for assigned supermarket accounts and work diligently to meet or exceed them. Monitor sales performance, analyze data, and implement corrective actions to ensure targets are achieved.
- Conduct account reviews: Regularly assess the performance of supermarket accounts by conducting account reviews and analyzing sales data. Provide actionable insights and recommendations to optimize product assortment, pricing, promotions, and merchandising.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing: Collaborate with supermarket accounts to negotiate favorable contract terms, pricing agreements, and promotional support. Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and drive profitability for both the company and the supermarket accounts.
- Coordinate product launches and promotions: Work closely with the marketing and trade marketing teams to plan and execute successful product launches, promotions, and advertising campaigns within supermarket accounts. Monitor campaign effectiveness and make adjustments as needed.
- Monitor market trends and competition: Stay updated on market trends, consumer preferences, and competitor activities within the modern trade sector. Analyze market insights to identify opportunities for growth and propose strategies to maintain a competitive edge.
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications:
- Strong sales and negotiation skills: Proven track record of achieving sales targets and effectively negotiating contracts. Ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with key accounts.
- Knowledge of modern trade and supermarket operations: Familiarity with the modern trade landscape in the Philippines, including an understanding of supermarket operations, category management, and buyer dynamics.
- Analytical and strategic thinking: Ability to analyze sales data, market trends, and consumer insights to develop effective sales strategies. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically to drive revenue growth.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with internal teams and key stakeholders. Ability to deliver persuasive presentations and negotiations with professionalism and confidence.
- Team collaboration: Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and operations, to achieve common goals. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
