Our engineering expertise reaches across all sectors of the construction industry, providing pragmatic and practical design solutions to ensure our projects are spatially and operationally efficient. Our design process fully considers the installation and maintenance practicalities on site.

The Hydraulics Engineer will provide support in the development of design, calculations, reports and documents under the guidance of senior engineers, ensuring that project requirements and client specifications are met. This role requires a proactive mindset, a strong willingness to learn, and a commitment to developing technical skills and professional growth within a multi-disciplinary design team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the development of design, calculations, reports and documents as required by the project.
  • Checks and ensures that the drawings, calculations, and documents are consistent and are compliant with relevant codes & standards and project requirements.
  • Handles the production of drawings, calculations, reports and other documents. Ensures that the deliverables are submitted within schedule.
  • Produce markups for encoding of cad and revit team.
  • Responsible for the running of small projects.
  • Do research regarding:
    • latest trend in public health and fire protection systems
    • code compliance with local regulations from different countries.
  • Attend technical meetings.
  • Assist in coordinating and resolving technical issues during design stage of the project.
Qualifications
  • BSC/BEng (or equivalent) in appropriate engineering discipline
  • Working towards MCIBSE/MIEE or equivalent
  • Working towards Chartered Eng status
  • 2-3 years working experience
  • Basic knowledge in hot and cold-water systems, sanitary plumbing, surface water drainage, fire protection systems, gas systems.
  • Knowledge of international design practices and standards such as plumbing codes (IPC, UPC, ASPE), fire codes (NFPA, EN Codes) and other mechanical codes such as ASHRAE.
  • Knowledge of local regulations in different European and Middle Eastern countries and insurer requirements such as FM Global and VdS is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of MS Office applications word, excel etc
  • Ability to use IT based calculation and spreadsheet software
  • Basic working knowledge of Revit and CAD functionality
  • Ability to prioritise own workload
  • Ability to work to deadlines
