Organizational Setting and Reporting Relationship

The position of Project Analyst is assigned to the Water and Urban Sector Office (SD-WUD) within the Sectors Department 2 (SD2). You will be based at our Headquarters in Manila, Philippines.

You will report to designated International Staff and officer.

Your Role

As a Project Analyst, you will provide analytical and statistical support to the assigned project portfolio, including technical support in portfolio management, project administration, and project processing activities related to loans and TA, knowledge work, and budget management activities for water and urban development (WUD) sector.

You will:

  • Support project administration of investment projects, TA projects, and sector work and activities, focusing on the WUD Sector.
  • Support project processing and administration with tasks including procurement and consultant recruitment reviews and other project administration actions.
  • Contribute to the preparation and updating of Project Administration Manuals under assigned projects.
  • Compile data and statistics on contract awards and disbursements for assigned projects.
  • Prepare and update project records in ADB systems following quality and service level standards.
  • Analyze project performance and provide inputs to the project team.
  • Contribute to project-specific and/or portfolio reports.
  • Participate in project inception, review, midterm review, and project completion review missions, as required.
  • Provide data, analyses, and draft writeups to assigned sections of mission reports.
  • Contribute to data gathering and preparation of project completion reports.
  • Provide support in project processing missions.
  • Perform other duties that may be assigned.

Qualifications

You will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience on ADB operations and business processes.
  • Strong analytical ability to undertake research and analysis.
  • Proficiency in ADB's information technologies and relevant software programs.
  • Strong capacity for teamwork and collaboration.
  • Excellent capabilities in relationship management and effective communication skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
