Role description:

The Project Accounting Analyst is responsible for project maintenance, project invoicing, and project reporting and analysis. This includes project creation, project updates, project reporting and analysis, document validation, and unit billing. The Project Accounting Analyst assists the Project Managers and stakeholders as required.

Role Accountabilities:
  1. Setting up Projects in line with Project Managers requirements;
  2. Preparation and setting up of CLS records;
  3. Reforecasting projects in line with Project Managers requirements;
  4. Troubleshooting of inter-project time and expense transfers;
  5. Checking and ensuring the correct revenue recognition (POC%, cost, revenues, WIP, backlog);
  6. Interpret and clarify project results, deviations, underlying causes, and corrective actions to be taken;
  7. Monitor work in progress & unbilled receivables;
  8. Maintaining forecast and actual project billing dates;
  9. Ensuring projects are closed on the system in a timely manner;
  10. Continue to challenge and initiate continuous process improvement;
  11. Prepare and update process documentations in compliance with standard project accounting processes;
  12. Communicating with the Project Managers/Project Team Members in the Region for any assigned tasks;
  13. Preparing files or reports needed and attending Project Review meetings;
  14. Provide assistance in generating and distributing draft invoices and/or credit memos to Project Team for review and approval;
  15. Ensure supporting documents are attached to the invoice per Project Managers requirements;
  16. Performing other duties and responsibilities as required from time to time by your Team Lead/ Manager.
Qualifications, skills & experience:
  1. Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Finance or equivalent;
  2. 2 to 3 years of relevant working experience;
  3. Exposure in Shared Service or Multinational environment is an advantage;
  4. Experience with ERP Systems is required (Oracle, SAP & Microsoft Dynamics);
  5. Intermediate knowledge in Microsoft applications (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word) is required;
  6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English Language;
  7. Good interpersonal skills with a customer service focus;
  8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  9. Results oriented;
  10. Proactive and a committed team player;
  11. Can work under pressure and minimal supervision;
  12. Can work on flexible hours to meet changing work environment and to meet tight deadlines;
  13. Experience working with and managing contracts preferred;
  14. Detail oriented with proficient ability to detect errors and inconsistencies.
