TheLegalManagerisresponsibleforplanning,coordinating,andguidingallfunctionsrelatedtolegalandcomplianceissuesforARICorpandARIBUs.Thepositionholdercollaboratesinthedevelopmentandimplementationofstrategiesandmanagesthesmoothoperationofallday-to-dayactivitiespertainingtoallfunctionsoftheLegalandComplianceTeamofSRRL.

OutcomesExpectedandResponsibilities:
  • Provideslegaladviceonlegalregulatoryandcomplianceissues,whetherindustryornon-industryrelated(eg,energy,labor,safety,healthandenvironmentissues,regulatory,permitting,land,contracts)
  • Conductsduediligenceonlandandotherlegalmatters,asneeded
  • Coordinateswithexternalcounselforlegalandcomplianceissues
  • Buildspartnershipswithandmanagesidentifiedstakeholders,withrespecttoalllegal&complianceissues.
  • Coordinatesandimplementsstrategiesoncompliancemonitoringandaudit,toensurethatallpermits/contracts/agreements/complianceissuesarepropertytrackedandtimelycompliedwithforallARIBUs
  • Conductslegalresearchanddevelopsreferencematerialasneeded
  • Draftscontracts,legalopinions,contracts,agreementsandotherlegaldocumentsasneeded
  • Stayscurrentonrelevantindustryandgovernmentcomplianceprogramsrelatedtorenewableenergyandprovidesupdatesregardingchangesinlegislation,regulationsandotherrequirementsthatmayresultinorganizationalresponse.
  • AttendspublicconsultationswithrelevantexternalstakeholderstorepresentARIinterests
  • RepresentsARIandARIBUsinlegalproceedings,asrequired,andnegotiateswithidentifiedstakeholdersforlegalandcomplianceissues
  • Facilitatestimelycompletionofcompliancemattersbycoordinatingwithrelevantinternalteamsforsubmissions.
  • ManagesandensurestheregularcoordinationofwithidentifiedLegalandCompliancestakeholderstoensureopencommunicationlines
  • Ensuresandimplementsproperfilingoflegaldocuments,compliancesandpermits.
  • Reportsprogressofalllegalandcomplianceissuestoteamleaders.
  • Coordinateswithotherdepartmentsforthenecessaryinformationorassistancerequiredforthetimelysubmissionofalllegalandcompliancerequirements
  • ManagestheLegalandComplianceteammemberstoensureefficiencyandproductivity
  • Performsothertasksasmaybeassignedbytheteamleader.

  • Championstheorganization'sculture,values,andphilosophybyexecutingandenactingcompanypolicies,safetyrules,andprocedures.
MinimumQualifications
  • Mustbealicensedlawyer
  • Musthaveatleast5–7yearsofprofessionallegalexperience,includingatleast5yearsinestablishedandreputablelawfirms
  • Musthaveatleast3–5yearsofleadershipexperienceinmanaginglegalteams
  • Preferablywithexposuretogovernmentagenciesandenergyindustrystakeholders
  • Preferablywithworkingknowledgeofprojectmanagementprinciplesandenergyregulatoryframeworks
  • Preferablywithaposgraduatediplomaormaster'sdegreerelevanttothefield
