About the role

As a Lawyer with an engineering background, you will play a crucial role in providing legal specialized expertise on legal matters involving technical fields, particularly those related to intellectual property, technology, construction, and environmental management, where a deep understanding of engineering principles is essential for effectively advising clients navigating complex legal issues; essentially bridging the gap between technical details and legal implications.

Your Tasks

  • Risk management through structuring of transactions, contracts, and agreements.
  • Regulatory compliance related to engineering/construction projects.
  • Assistance in commercial negotiations.
  • Legal guidance on engineering-specific issues such as design liability, construction disputes, and project management.
  • Collaboration with engineering and other technical teams to identify and address potential legal risks.

Your Qualification

  • Lawyer with 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably in a civil/structural engineering or construction-focused legal practice.
  • Excellent understanding of engineering-related laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and mitigate legal risks.
  • Effective communication skills to translate complex legal concepts for non-legal stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
