This is a remote position.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM (Australian Eastern Time – Melbourne)

Break: 1-hour unpaid break

Total Weekly Hours: 40 hours

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to start or grow a career in electrical estimating. You'll support experienced estimators in preparing project bids, learn to use industry software like STI MATE, and follow Australian electrical standards. The role includes working with technical drawings, communicating with suppliers, and helping coordinate tender submissions. Full training is provided, making it a strong starting point for a long-term career in the field.

Responsibilities Assist in preparing comprehensive tenders for electrical projects across various sectors

Complete detailed take-offs from Australian standards electrical plans and technical drawings Learn and utilize ESTI-MATE estimate program for accurate data input and project analysis (training will be provided) Communicate with wholesalers, material suppliers and sub-contractors via email to obtain current pricing information

Support the head estimator in assembling complete tender packages from initial plan review to final submission

Read and interpret complex electrical plans according to Australian standards

Analyze material supply costs and pricing data to ensure competitive and accurate estimates Participate in the complete tender preparation process with hands-on learning opportunities by dead lines set by principle contrcators Requirements Experience with electrical estimation under Australian standards and regulations

Proven ability to read and interpret electrical plans, technical drawings, and specifications

Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective liaison with suppliers and team members

Exceptional attention to detail for accurate take-offs and precise data entry Eagerness to learn new software systems, specifically ESTI-MATE estimate program

Solid understanding of electrical materials, components, and installation methods

Proficiency in email communication and basic computer applications

Commitment to accuracy and quality in all estimation activities

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while taking direction from senior estimators
