MediCard is currently looking for assertive, dynamic, and energetic individuals to fill the following vacancy:

Position: Medical Assistant

The successful candidate is expected to assist doctors and nurses, attend to and provide quality care to patients.

Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Provides assistance and service to patients.
  2. Assists with taking vital signs and initial history taking.
  3. Inspects consultation rooms daily for availability of essential supplies such as cotton, alcohol, and OB-Gyne speculums.
  4. Oversees cleanliness and maintains linens in consultation rooms.
  5. Ensures sufficient inventory of supplies and monitors stock levels.
  6. Coordinates with other departments for endorsement and verification as needed.
  7. Approves diagnostic requests based on established guidelines prior to utilization.
  8. Maintains and updates medical records of patients.
  9. Prepares and submits timely reports and doctor's procedure fees.
  10. Willing to render overtime, including after hours and during non-working days, as workload requires.
  11. Performs other related tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Education: Graduate of BS Nursing or related medical allied courses.
  • Experience: Preferably with 6 months healthcare experience if not a BS Nursing graduate.
  • Skills: Good verbal and written communication, initiative, organization, and service-oriented attitude.
