Overview

The IT Field Engineer supports restaurant locations by providing on-site technical expertise for system installations, upgrades, and troubleshooting. This role ensures consistent performance of restaurant technologies across multiple branches, contributing to a smooth customer experience and efficient operations.

Responsibilities
  • Install, configure, and maintain POS systems, networking hardware, and digital signage
  • Respond to on-site technical issues involving hardware, software, and connectivity
  • Coordinate new store tech setup and assist with renovations or upgrades
  • Ensure compliance with cybersecurity protocols and perform routine maintenance
  • Train staff on tech usage and provide post-installation support
  • Document service calls, repairs, and system performance for reporting
  • Collaborate with IT support teams and vendors for escalated issues
Qualifications and Experience
  • Proven experience in field service or technical support, ideally in multi-site restaurant or retail operations
  • Familiarity with POS systems, wireless networks, and mobile devices
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and a customer-oriented mindset
  • Ability to travel frequently and work flexible hours
  • Certifications in hardware, networking, or relevant IT fields are a plus
