Senior Tax Manager (USA Tax) – Remote | Long-Term Opportunity | Work with a Modern, Forward-Thinking Firm
Location: Remote (U.S. Eastern Time Zone hours)
Schedule: 35–40 hours/week (up to 70–80 hours/week during January–April)
Setup: Fully remote, digital-first environment

We\'re recruiting on behalf of a forward-thinking accounting firm seeking a Senior Tax Manager to lead complex tax work, mentor junior staff, and grow into a leadership position over time. Your strong 1040 tax filing along with QuickBooks experience are essential
What You'll Be Doing- Independently prepare a wide variety of returns (individual, business, trust, non-profit)
- Review junior staff's work and provide constructive feedback before partner sign-off
- Communicate with clients professionally via email regarding documentation and questions
- Analyze complex tax situations to identify issues, risks, and planning opportunities
- Use digital tools to manage workflow and client communication seamlessly
- Collaborate with firm partners on advanced planning and high-level tax matters
- Participate in daily team meetings and contribute to planning initiatives
- Mentor junior team members and step into growing leadership responsibilities
- Strong experience preparing multiple types of tax returns independently - 1040, strong QuickBooks experience
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail and proactive problem-solving
- Exceptional written English communication skills
- Self-motivated and career-driven—interested in long-term growth
- Comfortable with digital tools and modern workflow systems
- Familiarity with ProSeries or similar tax software (a plus)
- Ready to work extended hours during busy season (January–April)
- Leadership potential and a passion for mentoring others
