Overview

Primary Function: He/she is expected to generate and execute planned improvement actions from his/her new product assignment to meet target defect level as well as sustaining and continuously improving existing capability. He/she is expected to render support and assistance within his/her section and others in achieving the overall company goals and targets. Responsible for the introduction of all new products and developing new processes to expand the company's service capability taking into account material, manpower, processes, equipment and capital requirements and for conducting technical evaluation and study on projects covering design improvement and cost reduction scheme.

Responsibilities
  • Generate and execute planned improvement actions from new product assignments to meet target defect levels and sustain/continually improve existing capability.
  • Render support and assistance within his/her section and with other teams to achieve company goals and targets.
  • Introduce all new products and develop new processes to expand the company's service capability, considering material, manpower, processes, equipment and capital requirements.
  • Conduct technical evaluation and study on projects covering design improvement and cost reduction schemes.
Minimum Requirements
  • Graduate of any Engineering course; preferably ECE, Manufacturing, Electrical, IE, Mechanical.
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience in Design Engineering using CAD, and/or SolidWorks from Electronics/Semiconductor Industry.
Technical Competence
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with customer and internal teams.
  • Proficient in documenting issues, solutions, customer interactions and follow-ups clearly and accurately.
  • Attentive to customer needs, concerns and feedback, and responding accordingly.
  • Demonstrated skills in AutoCAD (2D Drawing and Layering, Isometric, 3D Drawing, GD&T), Mechanical Drawing Interpretation, Mechanical Machining/Assembly Drawing.
  • Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge in Statistical Tools, 8D Problem Solving and Decision Making and Analytical Tools and Techniques.
