Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Head of Finance with a strong background in consumer goods and 10+ years of experience in financial management, bookkeeping, purchase order (PO) processing, and reconciliation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing financial planning, reporting, compliance, and operational efficiency to drive business growth.

This leadership role requires a deep understanding of financial strategy, cost management, and cash flow optimization. The Head Of Finance will work closely with executive leadership to develop financial policies, ensure regulatory compliance, and enhance profitability.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Financial Strategy and Leadership
  • Develop and execute financial strategies to optimize profitability and cash flow.
  • Provide financial insights, forecasting, and budgeting recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Lead financial planning and analysis (FP&A) to support business expansion and market growth.
  • Collaborate with executive teams to align financial goals with business objectives.
  • Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard financial assets.
Bookkeeping and Financial Management
  • Oversee general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and financial reconciliations.
  • Ensure accurate financial statements, profit & loss accounts, and balance sheets.
  • Monitor accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) for timely payments and collections.
  • Implement best practices for expense tracking, cost control, and revenue management.
Purchase Orders (PO) & Vendor Management
  • Oversee the purchase order process, ensuring accurate tracking and approvals.
  • Work closely with procurement and supply chain teams to manage vendor payments and pricing.
  • Ensure compliance with PO policies, contract terms, and supplier agreements.
  • Optimize inventory costing and purchasing efficiency for maximum profitability.
Reconciliation & Financial Reporting
  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reconciliations.
Compliance, Risk Management & Auditing
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax laws and financial regulations.
  • Lead external and internal audits, ensuring financial transparency and accuracy.
  • Implement risk management strategies to identify and mitigate financial risks.
  • Maintain relationships with auditors, tax authorities, and financial institutions.
Cash Flow Management & Cost Optimization
  • Monitor cash flow to ensure financial stability and operational funding.
  • Develop strategies to improve working capital and optimize cost structures.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings, operational efficiency, and investment growth.
ERP Financial Systems & Process Improvement
  • Lead the implementation and optimization of accounting/ERP software (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks).
  • Drive automation and process improvements in financial operations.
  • Enhance reporting accuracy, efficiency, and financial data analytics.
  • Oversee bank, credit card, and vendor account reconciliations.
  • Ensure accuracy in financial reporting and compliance with GAAP/IFRS standards.
  • Prepare and present financial reports, forecasts, and variance analyses to executives and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master's/MBA preferred).
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) preferred.
  • 10+ years of financial management experience, ideally in the consumer goods industry.
  • Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, PO processing, and financial reconciliation.
  • Experience with budgeting, financial forecasting, and strategic planning.
  • Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems (NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks, or similar).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

Supplemental Pay:

  • 13th month salary
