Design managers coordinate all of the design work required during construction projects. The Design Manager will be responsible for the overall conception and execution of design projects from start to finish. He/She will manage the production of technical drawings and plans used to build a structure.

Responsibilities:

  • Leading, coaching, and expanding the design team.
  • Developing and overseeing the design briefs and projects from inception to completion.
  • Collaborating with other departments to integrate marketing, customer operations, and engineering perspectives into product designs.
  • Ensuring all designs meet quality standards and are delivered within budget and time constraints.
  • Presenting design concepts and prototypes to stakeholders and management teams.
  • Conducting market research and trend analysis to keep designs innovative and competitive.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in architecture or engineering is required.
  • Must be a licensed Architect or Engineer
  • Higher qualifications or certifications in project management or leadership is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a design leadership role within the industry.
  • Proficient in design software and tools
