Job Title Accounting Supervisor (AU) – Guild Solutions, Inc. Job Purpose The Accounting Supervisor will oversee day‑to‑day accounting operations related to Australian financial activities, ensuring compliance with local regulations and company policies. The role supports accurate financial reporting, supervises junior accounting staff, and collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to maintain the integrity of financial data. Key Responsibilities Supervise and review general ledger entries, reconciliations, and month‑end closing activities. Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with Australian Accounting Standards (AASB). Ensure timely submission of BAS, PAYG, and other statutory reports. Lead and mentor a small team of accountants or finance officers. Review work for accuracy and compliance and provide training where needed. Oversee AP/AR processes, ensuring timely invoicing, payments, and collections. Resolve discrepancies and liaise with vendors and clients as needed. Ensure compliance with Australian tax laws and financial regulations. Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to queries. Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency. Implement best practices and support system upgrades or transitions. Work closely with HR, procurement, and other departments to ensure accurate financial data. Liaise with external accountants, auditors, and regulatory bodies as required. Required Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CA qualification (or working towards). Minimum 35 years of accounting experience, with at least 12 years in a supervisory role. Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards, tax regulations, and compliance requirements. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., MYOB, Xero, SAP, or similar). Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem‑solving ability. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Preferred Experience in a multi‑entity or shared services environment. Familiarity with payroll processing and superannuation compliance.
