Strategy & Finance (S&F) Financial Management Chapter provides a wide range of financial management services that support Telstra\'s business operations, corporate leadership, customers, employees and shareholders. We have recently adopted Agile in Strategy & Finance to better prioritise work, optimise resources, develop our people, and deliver better outcomes for customers and shareholders. This role sits within the Financial Management Chapter Area, a ~450-strong global team providing business partnering and FP&A services across the organisation.

About The Role

• Finance Specialist (CPA/CA Qualified) responsible for driving financial outcomes, maintaining commercial discipline, and implementing operational improvements across customer segments.
• Deliver financial management expertise and analysis to support Telstra\'s financial strategy and enable monitoring, tracking, and reporting on financial performance (profitability, expense, cash) of Telstra and its functional units.
• Based in Makati City, Metro Manila in a HYBRID working environment.

What You\'ll Do

• Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with teams to align on financial matters
• Month-End Tasks: Run month-end processes including reconciliations, accruals and reporting
• Forecasting: Develop accurate financial forecasts to guide decisions and resource allocation
• Financial Analysis: Analyze historical and current data to assess financial health and identify trends
• Support Business Initiatives: Provide financial insights and recommendations for strategic initiatives
• Finance Operational Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance processes and efficiency
• Reporting: Prepare clear financial reports for management and stakeholders

About You

• CPA, CMA, or CA fully qualified
• Tertiary qualifications in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field
• Proven experience in Finance Management (forecasting, analysis, reporting, variance)
• Experience in management accounting to support business partnership, technical accounting, and accounting compliance
• Desire to build leadership skills and capabilities
• Initiative and proactive mindset to address operational performance and financial trajectory
• Autonomy and collaboration: able to work independently and within a team
• Analytical skills with proficiency in financial modelling and data-driven decision-making
• Strong stakeholder management and presentation skills
• Passion for numbers and improving financial performance
• Background in SAP
• Experience in revenue management
• IFRS15 knowledge
