Corporate Strategy Manager

Overview Overall purpose, duties and responsibilities of the role: The Corporate Strategy Manager is responsible for the development and management of strategic initiatives of East West Ageas and measuring results by interacting with senior leaders, project sponsors, owners and concerned business units. This person also ensures that strategies, projects and supporting actions are implemented effectively in the organization. Responsibilities Strategy Creates and/or reviews the strategic planning framework and processes to ensure the conduct of an effective annual strategic planning exercise Support the development of the company\'s corporate strategies through the set strategic planning framework Support the facilitation of strategic and tactical departmental planning sessions based on the general directions set by the CEO and EWA MCO Work closely with department heads to identify growth opportunities which can serve as input to EWA MCO when deciding planned and emergent strategic directions Oversee and ensure the alignment of strategy execution through the conduct of periodic strategy review sessions at department level Assess and monitor the implementation of strategic initiatives against established goals, metrics and industry benchmarks Prepare periodic strategy monitoring and project management implementation reports and presentations to department leads and provide insights and updates on the company\'s strategic initiatives Work closely with the Finance Team in the presentation and discussion of overall financial performance vis-à-vis set strategies and corporate objectives Regular reporting to MCo on the progress and status of strategic initiatives, including challenges encountered and propose, in coordination with department heads, solutions to address challenges Portfolio Management Provide guidance to the department and project leads to translate high-level corporate strategies into projects and action plans to drive business performance and achieve company objectives Implement analysis, prioritization, and optimization of project plans to ensure effective implementation and alignment to the overall strategic of EWA Management & oversight of portfolio projects – business case reviews, budget & resource allocation, delivery and execution metrics to ensure alignment with overall EWA goals Execution of strategic business development through M&As, expansion of verticals and/or lines of businesses and management of incubated business ventures, acquisitions and/or subsidiaries Regular reporting to MCo, project steercos and committees on the progress and status of portfolio and strategic projects Market / Industry Research Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, competitive landscape, and industry best practices which may involve desk research, local networking or partnering with Ageas counterparts Analyzemarket trendsand competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth and improvement Provide an economic and industry report to business unit heads and Manco as an input to the strategic planning process Essential Skills / Qualifications University degree in Business or a related field Five (5) years work experience in corporate strategy and project management Experience in conducting strategic and tactical planning sessions involving senior leaders Familiarity with strategic management and project management framework and tools Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment Excellent communication, leadership, problem solving and analytical skills Ability to elicit cooperation from internal stakeholders and cross functional teams #J-18808-Ljbffr
