With a strong background in health tech, they identified a clear need for more affordable, AI-powered solutions. They are committed to improving patient outcomes and delivering more accessible care by harnessing technology.

Role Overview: We are looking for a hands-on and experienced Female UI/UX Designer who’s ready to hit the ground running in a fast-paced health tech startup. You’ll be the sole designer leading the end-to-end design of both a consumer-facing aged care mobile app and a platform for healthcare professionals and systems.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  1. Design a consumer-facing aged care mobile app (for users aged 65–80) and a platform for health systems and healthcare professionals
  2. Use Figma as your primary design tool (our current designs are already underway in Figma)
  3. Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and clinical teams to deliver user-friendly, scalable solutions
  4. Conduct design research and user analysis to understand our diverse user groups, especially older adults
  5. Create accessible, high-contrast, readable, and intuitive interfaces that meet the unique needs of the aged care market
  6. Establish a design system and clear, review-ready workflows for easy feedback and approvals
  7. Contribute to marketing design (e.g., website, video, flyer assets) as needed
  8. Lead all aspects of UI/UX delivery, from strategy through execution

Requirements:

  1. 5+ years of UI/UX design experience, preferably with at least 2 years designing health or medical tech products
  2. 2+ years of startup experience where you managed your work independently
  3. Experience designing for older adults (ages 65 to 80) with a strong focus on accessibility and usability
  4. Proficiency in Figma, with a fast, organized, and collaborative approach
  5. Strong design research skills and the ability to uncover user needs without constant direction
  6. A proactive, self-driven attitude and a strong desire to build
  7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a love for cross-functional collaboration
  8. Strong visual design abilities with a portfolio that shows clean, custom work (no Canva templates)
  9. Comfortable taking on multiple responsibilities and solving new challenges with a positive, solution-focused mindset
