Job Title: Digital Designer (Motion)

Role: Freelancer

Duration: 5 months

Location: Manila, Philippines

OLIVER is looking to recruit a Digital Designer to work on-site with one of our key clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong integrated design background with deep knowledge of digital‑first advertising and creative. Proficiency in After Effects or basic animation and video editing is a must.

Reporting into the Design Team Lead for creative work, the candidate will partner with the Lead to produce digital concepts and designs to the client’s brief and standards, while positively influencing clients with creative input and pitching new concepts. The role covers digital design across social media, e‑commerce, creative ideation, artworking, and offline design collateral.

• Ensure brand consistency across all outputs. Experience in CRM, digital and offline is desired.
• Produce short‑form mobile‑first digital content for client websites, digital applications, and social media channels.
• Work independently from concept to execution.
• Be accountable for work by the creative team, ensuring adherence to brand guidelines and platform best practices.
• Collaborate with the Design Team Lead and stakeholders to deliver high‑quality client service from brief to delivery.
• Develop strong concepts from the initial briefing in collaboration with the Design Team Lead.
• Assist in pitching creative solutions in response to marketing strategies.
• Prepare finished artwork files to meet correct output specifications.
• Ensure all design work aligns with digital and social trends and requirements.
• Resource and schedule your own work; manage project deliverables and deadlines.
• Support BAU design work and provide quality control.
• Maintain client relations as a on‑site contact, supporting the Design Team Lead and Account Manager.
• Provide creative and quality oversight for work produced locally.
• Work with key clients on projects such as: social media and e‑commerce assets (e.g., Facebook, Lazada, YouTube), on‑site design updates (posters, icons, logos, slides), visual identity and tone of voice for campaigns (POS and OOH), merchandise design, and one‑off campaigns.

• Self‑motivated with the ability to work with little supervision and clearly communicate development needs to your line manager.
• Multimedia arts graduate or related field.
• Strong client engagement skills and ability to lead discussions with clients and build strong relationships with brand managers.
• Ability to manage and filter workflow and prioritise workloads to meet timelines.
• Ability to challenge a client’s brief for clarity.
• Experience working directly with clients without account management support.
• Experience providing clear and accurate management information.
• Creative ability with strong Adobe CS (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).
• Proficiency in After Effects or basic animation and video editing.
• Good multitasker; guardian of the client’s brand guidelines.
• Working knowledge of digital design requirements is a benefit.
• Passion for and curiosity about AI and new technologies; understanding of AI tools is beneficial, but the ability to learn is critical.
