About the role We are seeking an experienced Trade Specialist to join our dynamic team. As a Trade Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing and executing daily trading activities involving agricultural products such as rice, sugar, grains, and other soft commodities. The role focuses on sourcing, pricing, negotiating, and executing trades, as well as monitoring market trends and managing relationships with suppliers, buyers, and logistics partners. This position plays a critical role in driving profitability, ensuring compliance, and optimizing the company's supply chain strategy. What you'll be doing Execute day-to-day trading activities in agricultural commodities across domestic and international market. Source and negotiate with suppliers, traders, brokers, and buyers to secure competitive pricing and favorable trade terms. Monitor global commodity markets, price trends, currency fluctuations, and demand-supply dynamics. Analyze market intelligence to identify trading opportunities and support strategic buying and selling decisions. Prepare and issue trade confirmations, contracts, and related documentation. Coordinate with logistics, shipping, and warehousing teams to ensure smooth execution of physical deliveries. Maintain updated records of trades, contracts, positions and inventory levels. Manage trade risks and ensure compliance with internal controls, quality standards, and relevant regulations. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, customers, and trade partners. Provide regular market updates, price forecasts, and performance reports to management. What we're looking for Bachelor's degree in Business, International Trade, Agriculture, Economics, or a related field. Minimum 2-4 years of experience in physical commodity trading (import and export) Strong understanding of commodity markets, international trade, pricing mechanisms, and supply chain dynamics. Proven negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills. Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with trading or ERP systems. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work under pressure, make quick decisions, and manage multiple transactions simultaneously. Attention to detail, accuracy and strong organizational skills. Knowledge of trade finance instruments such as letters of credit, bills of lading, and Incoterms. Familiarity with quality inspections, shipping documentation, and customs procedures. Fluency in multiple language is a plus for international trading. Driving skills is an advantage.
