Role Summary : Responsible for recording, reporting and reconciliation of payroll transactions based on GAAP. Acts as a point of contact for audit requests and mitigates potential control failures by conducting root-cause analysis and identifying internal control issues.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• General Accounting and Analysis — Perform month-end closing activities including preparation of medium to high complexity journals and variance analysis according to the financial close calendar; ensure completeness and accuracy of underlying financial data and appropriate supporting documentation.

• Prepare Balance Sheet Reconciliations for accounts of medium to high complexity and ensure all reconciling items are cleared timely with proper documentation.

• Coordinate with AP, Benefits, HRIS, FP&A and Budget teams and other departments to resolve reconciling items and gather required information for month-end close.

• Execute processes in compliance with US GAAP, local GAAP and local statutory requirements; perform accounting and other ad hoc tasks as needed.

• Finance Analysis & Reporting — Prepare ADP/Workday reports on wages, taxes and hours (accrual and paid), and other required reports for management and departments; perform financial analysis as required.

• Internal Control — Adhere to internal control policies and procedures; execute controls for accounts handled per company policies.

• Year End Audit — Prepare reports, reconciliations and schedules needed for audit; coordinate with teams, departments, vendors and leaders to gather information for audit.

• Process Improvements — Support finance-wide projects including process automation and system enhancements; conduct root cause analysis for errors and propose solutions; collaborate with finance teams to understand end-to-end processes for improvements.

• Controllership — Provide trend analysis, variance analysis and recommendations for cost optimization; collaborate with other departments and geographies to understand control and financial risks and opportunities; report risks and opportunities to management.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in Excel/Macro/Database/Access/Basic Programming

• Experience or knowledge of Payroll and General Accounting processes

• Experience with Oracle
