GL (General Ledger) Accountant Location: Laguna Technopark, Biñan, Laguna Schedule: APAC hours (8 AM – 5 PM) We are hiring a GL (General Ledger) Accountant for one of our clients based in Laguna Technopark, Biñan, Laguna. The role is responsible for managing the end-to-end general ledger activities, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and local accounting standards, and supporting financial reporting, audit, and process improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate has strong accounting expertise, hands‑on experience with ERP systems (preferably Oracle), and the ability to work effectively with global finance teams. Key Responsibilities 1. General Ledger & Month-End Close Manage GL accounting for assigned entities and perform monthly close activities. Process accounting entries under US GAAP and Local GAAP . Act as the main contact for Intercompany (ICO) transactions, including raising and approving related entries. Coordinate with FP&A and Corporate Finance teams to ensure accurate SG&A activities. Prepare monthly reconciliation packs and flux analysis for Financial Controller review. 2. Cash Forecasting & Treasury Prepare and review weekly cash forecast templates and analyses. Support cash pooling and wire transfer proposals . Manage factoring activities , journal entries, and related reconciliations. 3. Financial Reporting & Controls Maintain documentation of financial close processes and GL procedures. Ensure timely and accurate reporting in line with corporate and US-led deadlines . Drive continuous improvement of financial reporting quality and standardization across entities. 4. Audit, Statutory & Tax Compliance Support local statutory reporting , internal/external audits , and tax filings for European entities. Develop and maintain a secondary ledger in Oracle for Local GAAP reporting. 5. Payroll & OPEX Management Support monthly payroll processes , ensuring accuracy and compliance with local regulations. Partner with HR and Controllers to enhance payroll efficiency. Ensure proper month-end purchase cut-offs , accruals, and open PO follow-ups. Prepare OPEX budget variance reports and ensure accurate analytical coding of GL entries. 6. Financial Control & Process Improvement Identify and resolve financial control issues proactively. Work with Financial Controller to strengthen internal controls and streamline finance processes. Participate in Oracle system enhancements and support various group projects . Assist the Legal and Tax teams with entity liquidation processes as required. Serve as back‑up for other finance functions when necessary. Qualifications Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent professional qualification. At least 5 years of accounting experience in an international setting. Strong knowledge of US GAAP (Italian GAAP is a plus). Proficient in ERP systems (preferably Oracle) and Microsoft Excel . Highly proactive, detail‑oriented, and adaptable . Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across multicultural teams. Fluency in English (Italian language proficiency is an advantage, not required). Preferred Requirements 3+ years of experience in an audit or accounting firm . 5–10 years of relevant working experience in GL or Financial Accounting .
