About The Role

As a remote Quality Control Specialist , you’ll manage a high volume of residential work orders daily, overseeing licensed plumbers in the field. Your responsibilities include reviewing diagnoses, validating scopes, and ensuring quality control before work progresses. You’ll act as the technical gatekeeper—flagging issues, clarifying scope, and ensuring standards are met.

This role does not involve scheduling, dispatching, or resident communication. It is a contractor-to-contractor role focused on challenging bids, clarifying repairs, and maintaining efficiency.

This position is ideal for a licensed or journeyman-level plumber ready to transition from fieldwork to a tech-enabled operations role.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and review numerous plumbing work orders daily across residential sites.
  • Evaluate contractor reports, photos, and videos for accuracy.
  • Identify incomplete or inaccurate bids and coordinate with contractors to resolve issues.
  • Provide technical guidance and escalate quality concerns appropriately.
  • Ensure all documentation and data entries are accurate and complete.
  • Serve as the final QA checkpoint before work approval, scheduling, or billing.
  • Utilize internal platforms for efficient workflow management.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to troubleshoot delays or issues.

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of hands-on residential plumbing experience.
  • Master Plumber certification or equivalent.
  • Strong diagnostic skills with the ability to assess work via photos, videos, and notes.
  • Familiarity with common residential plumbing issues.
  • Ability to identify subpar work and guide contractors toward correct scope.
  • Clear, confident communication skills for technical discussions.
  • Willingness to switch from fieldwork to a fully remote role.
  • Quick adaptability to new software platforms.
  • Excellent organizational skills managing multiple work orders.
  • Fluent in English, both verbal and written.

Compensation & Benefits

  • $800–$1500/month based on experience.
  • Annual bonus up to $1,500, including a $500 bonus at 90 days.
  • 13th-month pay.
  • HMO coverage for employees and dependents.
  • 16 days of PTO annually.
