Accounting and Financial Analysis Specialist Position Overview The Accounting and Financial Analysis Specialist is a pivotal role within our organization, managing, optimizing, and establishing the financial operations of One Bed, our US-based e-commerce brand, and Taskparent, our startup staffing agency. The successful candidate will manage day‑to‑day accounting functions, conduct detailed financial analysis, and provide actionable insights that support both business units. This role also involves close collaboration with remote teams, ensuring smooth financial operations across different geographies and time zones. Key Responsibilities Financial Analysis & Reporting Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports. Develop and maintain budgets and financial forecasts; provide variance analysis and recommendations for corrective actions. Create, automate and improve comprehensive financial reports across functions to support strategic decision‑making. Deliver comprehensive updates and strategic recommendations based on financial records to ensure organizational financial hygiene, maximize profitability, and meet business objectives. Accounting Operations Oversee daily accounting functions, including general ledger entries, account reconciliations, and month‑end close processes. Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy and timely processing of transactions. Coordinate with external auditors and tax professionals to ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards. Establish financial books, reports, and analysis systems for the startup staffing agency, including financial modeling, cost analysis, and cash flow management. Collaboration & Support Coordinate with remote teams to ensure effective communication and coordination of financial tasks. Liaise with other departments (operations, supply chain, HR, marketing) to provide financial insights and support business initiatives. Accept, recommend, and optimize additional tasks and responsibilities to meet business objectives. Process Improvement Utilize and enhance accounting systems (QuickBooks, Xero, ERP platforms) and Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets for efficient data analysis and reporting. Identify, document, and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and compliance in financial operations. Stay educated on industry trends and share insights to drive continuous improvement. Minimum Requirements Education & Certification Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or PRC Board Passer. Experience 3+ years in accounting, financial analysis, AR/AP, month‑end reconciliation. 3+ years creating financial reports. 2+ years working with e‑commerce digital businesses or clients. Proficiency with AI‑driven technologies relevant to accounting (ChatGPT, Claude, Google Gemini, N8N) at a moderate level. Skills & Expertise Strong knowledge of US GAAP. Financial data interpretation and reporting proficiency. Experience with QuickBooks, Xero, Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel. Familiarity with cloud‑based ERP and financial modeling tools. Excellent English communication skills (minimum C1 EFSET). Strong time management, multitasking, and attention to detail. Demonstrated proficiency with AI‑driven tools such as ChatGPT, Google Gemini, Claude, or N8N. Technical Requirements Personal desktop or laptop with Intel i5/AMD Ryzen 5 or equivalent, 8GB RAM. Reliable residential internet connection (50 Mbps minimum). Webcam and microphone‑ready headset. Full‑time availability (40 h/week). Willingness to take on additional tasks as needed. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for remote collaboration. Preferred Qualifications And Attributes Familiarity with project management tools (ClickUp, Slack). Comfortable managing cross‑time‑zone tasks (Pacific Time & PH). Experience with remote work, cross‑cultural teams, and staffing agencies. Knowledge of Shopify, Gorgias, Slack, and other remote tools. Strong interpersonal skills, calm under pressure, proactive mindset. Self‑starter with minimal supervision. Interest in a long‑term, growth‑oriented role.
